Summary: | PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of titanium dioxide nanopowder is provided to change physical electrochemical properties of titanium dioxide nanopowder with the grain size control by producing titanium dioxide nanopowder having quasicrystal phase through the hydrothermal reaction mixing jelly form TiOCl2 and water. CONSTITUTION: A titanium dioxide nanopowder has a mesophase phase (a medium phase of amorphous and crystalline). The XRD major peak of the mesophase phase is relatively shifted and broadening. The average granularity of the titanium dioxide nanopowder is 150nm or less. The manufacturing method of the titanium dioxide nanopowder comprises the following steps: (a) preparing jelly form TiOCl2 by blending TiCl4 solution and water together and obtaining titanium dioxide nanopowder having the mesophase portion through the hydrothermal reaction, and (b) mixing jelly form TiOCl2 and water. The step (a) controls the amount of water so that the Ti3+ ion concentration can be 0.1-1.3M. The step (b) controls the amount of water so that the Ti3+ ion concentration can be 1.5-4.3M. The reaction of titanium dioxide nanopowder having the mesophase and an alkaline solution produces one-way titanate. The reaction of one-way titanate and the lithium hydroxide produces lithium titanate. |
