Summary:PURPOSE: A method for synthesizing ivabradine, an addition salt thereof with a pharmaceutically acceptable acid, and a hydride thereof, and a drug are provided to prevent or treat various diseases and heart failure. CONSTITUTION: A method for synthesizing ivabradine of chemical formula I comprises a step of amination of a compound of chemical formula V with amine of chemical formula VI without a solvent or in an alcoholic solvent at 15-100 deg. C under the presence of formic acid and triethyl amine. The amination is performed without the solvent. The amount of the formic acid is 2-50 equivalents per aldehyde. The amount of triethyl amine is 2-50 equivalents per aldehyde.
