PURPOSE: A wireless communication method and a device thereof are provided to open the reconnection of a WTRU(Wireless Transmission and Reception Unit) from one AP(Access Point) without loss. CONSTITUTION: An initial AP is determined as a WTRU. The WTRU requests hand-off to a target AP by allowing the initial AP to transmit DRRq to the WTRU. The WTRU determines a redirection request. The WTRU transmits the DRRsp to the initial AP. When the WTRU requests handoff to the target AP, the WTRU is reconfigured for the target AP. The WTRU confirms a handoff state by transmitting DRCf to the target AP.
