Summary:PURPOSE: A printing device and a plate cylinder replacing method thereof are provided to obtain position data of a mark required for grasping a position of the mark with respect to a key groove in advance, thereby reducing the down-time of the printing device when replacing a plate cylinder and improving working efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A printing device(1) comprises a printing unit(2), a transfer trolley, and a control unit. A position of plate cylinder(31) is set by inserting a key of a unit fixing side into a key groove so that the printing unit is supported by the unit fixing side to be rotatable. The transfer trolley loads and unloads the plate cylinder with respect to the printing unit. The control unit is connected to the printing unit, thereby controlling the rotation of the plate cylinder. The printing unit loads the plate cylinder around an axial core to be rotatable and includes a plate cylinder guiding member and a key groove position detecting member.
