Summary:PURPOSE: A processing method of a terephthalic acid is provided to reduce particle size by processing terephthalic acid, thereby increasing surface area of the terephthalic acid. CONSTITUTION: A processing method of a terephthalic acid includes a wet-pulverization treatment process of the terephthalic acid. The particle obtained through the wet-pulverization treatment process has a total surface area of 0.16-0.37 m^2/g, and average particle diameter of 41-82 micron. The wet-pulverization treatment process is conducted by using a high rate homogenizer. The terephthalic acid is directly pulverized, or processed after mixing with alcohol for esterification.
