PURPOSE: An urgent braking control apparatus based on the status information of a vehicle and a method are provided to prevent larger damage such as not performing urgent braking when sudden braking is not required from performing urgent braking according to the decisions of the possibilities of urgent braking based on the status information of a vehicle collected from the car network. CONSTITUTION: An urgent braking control apparatus based on the status information of vehicle comprises an obstacle detecting means(10) which senses the obstacle positioned on the front road of a vehicle; an information collecting means(20) which collects the status information of the vehicle through car network; a control means(40) which controls the urgent braking of the vehicle after determining the possibilities of an urgent braking by analyzing the status information collected from the information collecting mean as the obstacle detecting means detect an obstacle; and an alert mean(30) which makes emergency signal according to the control of the control mean.
