PURPOSE: A decoding device and a method for decoding a cryptogram of the decoding device are provided to improve the security of a private key when encoding and decoding a plain text according to a preset public key encoding algorithm. CONSTITUTION: According to a method for decoding a cryptogram of a decoding device, a plurality of polynomial functions are stored(S400). A private key decoding the cryptogram into a plain text according to a preset public key encoding algorithm is disassembled in the plurality of polynomial functions. The cryptogram generated on the basis of the private key disassembled into the plurality of polynomial functions from a cryptogram generation device is received(S430). The received cryptogram is decoded into the plain text on the basis of the plurality of polynomial functions which are previously stored(S440).
