Summary:PURPOSE: A three-dimensional image display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve three-dimensional viewing angle characteristics and brightness by forming a concave pattern to guide light and a concave pattern protection part to protect the concave pattern on the upper part of a substrate, thereby preventing three-dimensional crosstalk. CONSTITUTION: A three-dimensional image display device(10) includes the following parts: a display panel(20) composed of a first substrate, where a gate wire and a data wire cross each other and define a pixel area, and a second substrate(21), which is separated from the first substrate and where a concave pattern changing the path of slanted incident light is formed on the upper outer side in response to the border part of the pixel area, and displaying a left-eye image and a right-eye image; a polarizing film(50) formed on the upper part of the second substrate; and a patterned retarder(60) formed on the upper part of the polarizing film and composed of a left-eye retarder polarizing the left-eye image with left-handed circular polarization and a right-eye retarder polarizing the right-eye image with right-handed circular polarization.
