Summary:PURPOSE: Power management apparatus and a method thereof are provided to guide a consumer to efficient power use by displaying information about a price and a used amount of electricity. CONSTITUTION: In a timer window(620), a use amount of electric power is displayed in scale instead of time, and a power level(640) is displayed by time period in the edge of the timer window. A color in the lower region(625) of the timer window is differentiated from that of the upper region and the accumulated used amount of electric power. In an information window(660) information about the remaining amount of power until the price of electricity of the next level is applied and is display in one of the left, right, up, down and center not to be overlapped with the timer window. If a price level of electricity is classified into four levels, a color of the price level can be displayed as red(R), orange(O), yellow(Y) and green(G) in order from the higher price level to the lower price level.
