Summary:PURPOSE: A display device and a control method thereof are provided to display an icon image on a display unit by gradually transforming the icon image corresponding to an application. CONSTITUTION: An image processing unit displays an icon image corresponding to a desktop image on a desktop image at a download start timing(S110). The image processing unit compares the amount of application downloaded with a preset level according to the download of the application(S120,S130).
