Summary:PURPOSE: An organic light emitting diode display device and an operating method thereof are provided to reduce black brightness by making a voltage swing range of a light emitting signal smaller than a voltage swing range of a scan signal. CONSTITUTION: A display device(2) includes a plurality of data lines(DL), a plurality of first gate lines(SL), and second gate lines(EL). A data operating unit(4) converts video data(RGB) provided in digital into an analog data voltage to supply the same to the data lines. A first gate operating unit(6) sequentially supplies a scan signal to the gate lines. A second gate operating unit(8) supplies a light emitting signal to the gate lines. A timing control unit(10) controls the data operating unit and a operation timing of the first and the second gate operating units.
