Summary: | PURPOSE: Encoding and decoding an importance map through partition selection is provided to decode encoded data based on a determined context and to update the context based on a recomposed bit value. CONSTITUTION: A decoder determines the size of an importance map(102). The decoder determines a context of a current bit position from a stored partition group(104). The decoder recomposes a bit value of the bit position of encoded data according to the determined context(106). The decoder updates the determined context according to the bit value(108). [Reference numerals] (102) Determine the size of an importance map based on a final effective coefficient; (104) Determine a context based on a partition group stored about each bit position; (106) Decode the encoded data based on the determined context; (108) Update the context based on a bit value; (110) Adding positions are on the importance map?; (AA) Yes; (BB) No; (CC) End |
