Summary:PURPOSE: A photon counting detecting device and a method for the same are provided to generate images at high resolution based on a result of detecting a photon counting in a predetermined energy band which is output by read circuits. CONSTITUTION: A photon counting detecting device comprises read circuits(51,52,53,54). The read circuits sort photons included multi-energy radiation incident into a sensor according to an energy band, thereby counting the photons. The read circuits correspond to pixels of a radiation photographing region. Each read circuit corresponding to all pixels of the photographing region counts the photons in a predetermined energy band which is included in the radiation. Each read circuit corresponding to some of the pixels of the photographing region counts the photons of one or more different energy bands except for the predetermined energy band which is included in the radiation.
