Summary:PURPOSE: An antenna apparatus is provided to produce a desired multiple beam pattern without controlling the signal and the phase of each antenna device. CONSTITUTION: A first ridge horn antenna and a second ridge horn antenna have a third mode beam pattern for restraining directivity. The second ridge horn antenna is separated from the first ridge horn antenna with a gap. A multiple beam pattern is produced by using the third mode beam pattern of the first and the second ridge horn antenna. The gap is obtained by changing the phase difference between the angle of a progressive wave and an antenna device. The gap is twelve times smaller than the half wavelength of operating frequency.
