Summary:PURPOSE: A reciprocating compressor is provided to uniformly supply oil into a space between a cylinder and a piston and to reduce the size of a compressor by minimizing a space for filling the oil. CONSTITUTION: A reciprocating compressor comprises a sealed container(10), a cylinder(41), a piston(42), an oil passage, and a capillary tube member(100). The piston is inserted into the cylinder to reciprocate with respect to the cylinder. The oil passage guides oil to a bearing surface between the piston and the cylinder. The capillary tube member is equipped in the oil passage and supplies the oil of the sealed container into a space between the cylinder and the piston by a capillary force.
