CONSTITUTION: A multicage type ballast water filtering apparatus comprises a filtering unit which is divided into a filter and an automatic filtering unit. The automatic filtering unit comprises a sucking part and an exhaust part. The exhaust part comprises a back pressure preventing tank(333) in a back washing line. A back pressure preventing tank contains back washing water in the back washing line to prevent increase of back pressure in the back washing line.
