Summary:PURPOSE: An adaptive signal processing method and an apparatus thereof are provided to calculate the correlation between a clutter signal and a target signal by adapting to an environmental change even when the uniformity of medium extremely changes during every discovery performance, thereby improving the discovery rate by removing the clutter and intensifying the target signal after separating the clutter signal and the target signal based on the correlation. CONSTITUTION: A signal processing unit(100) divides a discovery signal into a plurality of orthogonal signals(S311); generates a plurality of overlap signals(500) by overlapping a plurality of orthogonal signals(411,414,421,424,431,434) into different numbers(S312); and calculates the correlation between the orthogonal signals(501,504) comprised the overlap signal within a specific window(S330). The signal processing unit determines whether the correlation exceeds the threshold value or not(S340). If exceeding the threshold value, the signal processing unit sets the signal value of a pixel comprising a window as an average value of the overlap signal(S351). If not, a signal value of the pixel comprising is set up as 0(S352). Finally, the signal processing unit outputs the result signal(600) in which a clutter signal is removed(S360).
