Summary:PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an organic electroluminescence display device is provided to prevent the damage of an organic compound layer and to reduce a display error. CONSTITUTION: An organic compound layer(12) is formed on a substrate(10). An intermediate layer and a resist layer(23) are sequentially formed on the organic compound layer. The intermediate layer includes a light blocking layer(22). A part of the resist layer is removed by using a photolithographic method. The intermediate layer having a partial resist layer and the organic compound layer are selectively removed by using a dry etching process.
