PURPOSE: A digital image photographing method and device are provided to photograph a high pixel of a static image with low power when dual recording, which photographs the static image at the same time while photographing a video, is implemented. CONSTITUTION: When a static image photographing event is generated, a control unit controls a static image mode in order to be set in an image sensor by the control of an image processing unit(103,105). The image processing unit starts exposure for photographing a static image about the image sensor from a completion point of the setting of the static image mode and processes static image data outputted from the image sensor(107).
