Summary:PURPOSE: An image forming apparatus and a transfer device are provided to improve the manipulation feeling of a door supporting a transfer roller. CONSTITUTION: A printer(100) is wrapped by a main body frame(101). A paper arrangement part(11) discharging a paper after forming an image is installed in the upper part of the main body frame in the printer. An image forming engine(20Y) has a photoconductor(21Y) rotating to the direction which an arrow B shows, and charger(22Y), a developer(23Y), and a clear(24Y) are arranged around the photoconductor. A transfer part(25Y) is put in a position where an intermediate transfer belt(31) is inserted between photoconductors. Each transfer part(25Y,25M,25C,25K) comprising each image forming engine(20Y,20M,20C,20K), the intermediate transfer belt, and multiple rolls(32) comprises an intermediate transfer unit(30). A toner image by each color toner formed in each of the image forming engines is transferred on the intermediate transfer belt in order to overlap successively, and is returned to a second transfer position in which a second transfer roll(41) is arranged. A door(60) supports a second transfer unit(40) including the second transfer roll. The door is opened and closed to an arrow D-E direction by rotating around a pin(102) by inserting the pin into the main body frame in the notch part(61) of a lower end.
