CONSTITUTION: A mosquito repellent contains sanshol(C16H27ON) as an active ingredient. A Zanthoxylum schinifolium extract or a Zanthoxylum piperitum extract contains sanshol. The Zanthoxylum schinifolium extract or the Zanthoxylum piperitum extract is a crude methanol extract or essential oil of Zanthoxylum schinifolium or Zanthoxylum piperitum fruits. The mosquito repellent contains 45-50 wt% of the crude methanol extract and 25-30 wt% of the essential oil.
