Summary: | PURPOSE: A large-size ion filter for a fuel cell is provided to reduce the pressure drop to the cooling water flow and to improve the metal ion filtering effect by forming a buffer zone in the entrance of an inlet port space of the large-size ion filter and the exit of an outlet port space. CONSTITUTION: A large-size ion filter for a fuel cell comprises a body part(18) which has an a cooling water inflow inlet(20) on one side and a cooling water outlet(22) for discharging ion-filtered cooling water on the other side; an ion resin mounted within the central part of the thickness direction of the body part; an inlet port space(26) formed in the interval between the cooling water inflow inlet and one side of the ion resin; and an outlet port space(28) formed in the interval between the other side of the ion resin and the cooling water outlet. A buffer zone(30) for cooling water flow distribution and pressure drop control in the entrance of the inlet port space and the exit of the outlet port space. |
