Summary: | PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a nanowire is provided to form a metal nanowire with a large aspect ratio using first and second solvents. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a nanowire comprises: a step of adding a metal compound, a metal halogen catalyst, and a capping agent into first and second solvents(ST20); and a step of heating the mixture and forming a metal nanowire. The first solvent has a first reducing power. The second solvent has a second reducing power which is greater than the first reducing power. The capping agent contains first and second capping agents. The first and second solvents are glycol.
