Summary: | PURPOSE: A functionalized vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon-conjugated diene block copolymer is provided to be functionalized without molecular weight loss and to remarkably reduce dissolving time for manufacturing an asphalt composition by having excellent compatibility with asphalt. CONSTITUTION: A functionalized vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon-conjugated diene block copolymer comprises 1,4 structure in a butadiene block, a vinyl structure, and an aldehyde structure. The 1,4 structure comprises a cis-1,4 structure and trans-1,4 structure. The comprised amount of the aldehyde group is 50-1600 ppm. The functionalized vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon-conjugated diene block copolymer consists of a triblock copolymer and diblock copolymer. The content of the triblock copolymer and the diblockcoplymer are 40-100 weight% and 0-60 weight% respectively.
