Summary: | PURPOSE: A device and a method for cutting a solid propeller are provided to continuously inject coolant with viscosity similar to the viscosity of water to a cut portion, thereby rapidly cutting a specimen. CONSTITUTION: A device for cutting a solid propeller is composed of a base frame(10), a working table(12), a fixing jig(13), a main frame(15), a fixing plate(14), an upper roller(21), a lower roller(22), a tension adjusting roller(23), and a coolant tube(17). A rail(11) is formed on the top surface of the base frame. The working table moves backward and forward along the rail. The fixing jig is installed on the working table, thereby fixing a metal container(30) of the solid propeller. The main frame is built-in in the middle unit of the base frame. The fixing plate is arranged in an inner side of the main frame and a moving path(14') where the metal container moves is formed. The upper roller is installed in the upper unit of the fixing plate, thereby unwinding or returning a steel wire(20) on which a diamond is coated. |
