Summary: | PURPOSE: A depth map producing method and an apparatus thereof are provided to express a three-dimensional effect which is more realistic than in a process converting from 2D image data to 3D data by producing a proper optimal depth map according to the analysis result of an image and preset conditions. CONSTITUTION: A pre-processing unit(110) performs the analysis and classification of input 2D image data. A conversion unit(120) selects a conversion algorithm corresponding to the classified image. The conversion unit produces a depth map according to the combination of a conversion algorithm. A post-processing unit(130) performs a depth filter compensation stabilizer about 3D image data.
