Summary:PURPOSE: An integrated circuit through power gate control is provided to reduce power consumption by using power gate control. CONSTITUTION: A virtual main power rail is connected to a main power rail(6) through a first operational mode transistor(22) and a first retention mode transistor(24). A virtual ground power rail(10) is connected to a ground power rail(12) through a second operational mode transistor(26) and a second retention mode transistor(28). A combinatorial logic circuit(14) is connected between the virtual main power rail and the virtual ground power rail. A signal value storage circuit(16) is connected between the main power rail and the virtual ground power rail or between the virtual main power rail and the ground power rail. A power control circuit controls the first and second operational mode transistors and the first and second retention mode transistors.
