Summary:PURPOSE: A touch panel and a manufacturing method thereof for preventing disconnection between an electrode and wiring are provided to secure a contacting area with wiring, thereby preventing misalignment between a transparent electrode and the wiring. CONSTITUTION: A substrate is divided into a valid area and an invalid area around the valid area. A transparent electrode(200) is formed on the substrate. A wire(300) is connected to the transparent electrode formed in the invalid area. The transparent electrode is composed of a first transparent electrode unit(210) formed in the valid area and a second transparent electrode unit(220) formed in the invalid area. The wiring is corresponded to the second transparent electrode unit. The second transparent electrode unit includes a connection part connected to the first transparent electrode unit, an extension part extended to the invalid area, and a terminal part connected to a circuit board on bottom of the extension part.
