Summary:PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a controlling method thereof are provided to display an image and a touch trajectory in different layers and perform a relation function, thereby enabling a user to select and control a desired menu. CONSTITUTION: A controlling unit(180) displays a plurality of layers to be overlapped to a display module(151). The controlling unit displays the selected image in at least one of a first layer among the layers.
