Summary: | PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing an optical transistor substrate are provided to eliminate parasitic capacitors between lines without increasing the thickness of an interlayer insulating film and the width of a line. CONSTITUTION: Optical thin film transistors are formed at the intersections of data lines and gate lines. The optical thin film transistors include a gate unit. The gate unit is connected to the gate lines. An optoelectronic switching unit(110) successively supplies optoelectronic signals to the gate lines. A gate operating unit(122) supplies a gate voltage to the optoelectronic switching unit.
