Summary:PURPOSE: A semiconductor integrated circuit for driving a liquid crystal display is provided to minify the size of a chip by reducing the number of external components. CONSTITUTION: A source driver circuit(210) operates a source line of a liquid crystal panel(300) according to an image signal. A gate driver circuit(220) sequentially scans gate lines. A common driver circuit(230) applies a common voltage(VCOM) to an electrode common to each pixel. A power circuit(240) for LED generates a driving voltage. A controller(260) controls the inside of the whole chip. An oscillator circuit(270) generates a clock as an internal reference. A timing control circuit(280) generates a signal which gives an operation timing. A RAM(290) for display stores image data to be displayed on the liquid crystal panel.
