Summary: | PURPOSE: A localization method of an intelligent mobile robot recognizing natural and artificial landmarks is provided to rapidly and easily recognize a location through natural and artificial landmarks when a robot having a localization system is moved to an auxiliary location. CONSTITUTION: A localization method of an intelligent mobile robot(22) is as follows. Whether or not natural landmarks(21) or artificial landmarks(30) are existed in obtained images is confirmed. The noise of the confirmed images containing natural landmarks or artificial landmarks is eliminated. Feature points of the natural and artificial landmarks are extracted from the confirmed images. A binarization algorithm performed by using information with respect to the feature point. The information obtained by performing the binarization algorithm and the registered landmarks are compared and matched. A location correction is performed by using a Kalman filter. |
