Summary:PURPOSE: A projection display system providing additional modulation and related methods are provided to secure smooth watching through a left eye and a right eye of viewers by supplying individual images. CONSTITUTION: A projection display system(10) comprises a projector(12), a space light modulator(20), and a controller. The projector comprises a projection lens(16) arranged to focus images on a screen. The space light modulator is installed between the projection lens and the screen(18). The controller is operated based on image data and connected to control the projection rate of the plurality of sections of space light modulator. The controller comprises a projector simulation connected to output brightness map and receives image data. The projector simulation comprises the model of the lens player of the projection lens.
