Summary:PURPOSE: A character input method for a character display apparatus is provided to input one word in the Korean alphabet regardless of consonants and vowels. CONSTITUTION: A character display apparatus is constituted of push buttons or touch buttons. A plurality of sub pads is arranged around the buttons. Different characters are respectively arranged on different locations. The characters are displayed according to touch or push of the buttons or the sub pad. A basic pad is arranged at a left and a right sub pad. The sub pad is arranged at the edge of the buttons.
