PURPOSE: An apparatus of manufacturing pellet for environmentally-friendly fuel based on wood materials and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to increase the density of pellet. CONSTITUTION: Sawdust and water are introduced into an expanding device to obtain expanded sawdust, and rice bran is mixed with the expanded sawdust(F1, F2). The moisture content of the expanded sawdust is kept in a range between 20 and 25% by spraying vapor of 100 to 120 degrees Celsius(F3). The expanded sawdust mixed with the rice bran is compressively molded through an apparatus for manufacturing pellet(F4). Expanded sawdust pellet and pellet powder are generated from the compressively molding process and are separated(F5, F6). The pellet powder generated from a process for cooling the pellet is separated(F7, F8). The pellet powder from the compressively molding process and the cooling process are introduced into the apparatus for manufacturing pellet.
