Summary:PURPOSE: A reservoir for a superconducting cable is provided to increase the pressure of a liquid coolant in an inner container without using electric energy by expanding a flexible container with liquid charged in the flexible container. CONSTITUTION: A flexible container(70) is arranged in a gas layer(32b) formed inside an inner container. Helium gas is injected into the flexible container. A fluid supply pipe(71) and a fluid discharge pipe(72), equipped with respective valves(71a,72a), supplies and discharges fluid to the flexible container.
