PURPOSE: A light shielding tape for a flat panel display device and an attaching method thereof are provided to reduce production costs and shorten attaching time. CONSTITUTION: A light shielding tape layer(120) includes a first base film(122), a black ink layer(124), and a light shielding adhesive layer(126). The light shielding adhesive layer has a first adhesive force. A base carrier film(110) is located on one side of the light shielding adhesive layer. A sub carrier film(130) is located on the other side of the light shielding adhesive layer. The sub carrier film includes a second base film(132) and a sub adhesive layer(134). The sub adhesive layer has a second adhesive force.
