PURPOSE: A digital PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) generator and an apparatus for driving a light emitting device are provided to precisely generate by generating a PWM signal based on a digital signal changed by A/D(Analog/Digital) conversion. CONSTITUTION: An A/D conversion unit(100) divides a fixed reference voltage into a plurality of sections corresponding to a preset first value. The A/D conversion unit outputs a digital signal corresponding to a section equivalent to the size of an input voltage from the plurality of sections. A frequency selection part(200) provides a counting number by counting a high speed counting clock which is preset for one period time of the fixed reference clock. A PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) signal generation part(300) changes the ratio value of the digital signal from the A/D conversion part. The PWM signal generation part generates a PWM signal having a controlled duty ratio.
