Summary:PURPOSE: An X-ray detector and an operating method thereof are provided to reduce initialization time of an X-ray detector while maintaining the afterimage elimination efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of optical sensing pixels includes a photo diode and a switching device. The photo diode generates an electric detection signal. The switching device transfers the detection signal. A gate driver(130) supplies a gate pulse which turns on the switching device through gate lines. A readout IC(Integrated Circuit)(150) reads out the detection signal from the optical sensing pixels.
