Summary:PURPOSE: A permanent magnet insertion type brushless DC motor and a compressor including the same are provided to reduce torque ripples for suppressing noise and vibration. CONSTITUTION: A permanent magnet insertion part(191) is formed on the circumference of a shaft hole(175) for inserting a permanent magnet(190) in an axial direction. A coupling part insertion hole(177) is formed in outside the shaft hole. A penetration hole(178) is formed in outside the shaft hole in order to pass a fluid. A rotor core is formed by laminating the shaft hole and a plurality of electric steel plates which has the permanent magnet insertion part. The rotor core comprises a perfectly circular part(181) which has the same radius from the center of a shaft and a non-circular part(185). The non-circular part has a maximum cutting depth from a q-axis.
