Summary:PURPOSE: A method and device for measuring moisture content using multiple phase difference microwaves are provided to quantitatively measure moisture content with respect to a specimen and to perform a measurement with the high reliability in which noise is removed. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring moisture content using multiple phase difference microwaves is as follows. Multiple phase difference microwaves composed of basic receiving waves(S1) and phase difference oscillation transmission waves(S2,S3) are irradiated to a measurement specimen, thereby making pass through. The basic receiving waves are composed of microwaves having an amplitude(E) and frequencies. The phase difference oscillation transmission waves having the same amplitude and frequencies with the basic receiving waves are composed of a plurality of microwaves having a phase difference in an oscillation. The amplitudes with respect to each receiving wave are measured by detecting the receiving waves corresponding to the basic receiving waves have passed through the measurement specimen and a plurality of the phase difference oscillation transmission waves. The measured amplitude values of the receiving waves are taken an average so that average amplitude of the receiving waves is obtained. An amplitude difference value of the receiving waves received by irradiating the basic receiving waves to the specimen of an identical sort in the state of being absolutely dried and the average amplitude is calculated. The receiving waves in which the frequencies and amplitude in an ideal state are known are irradiated to reference specimens of the identical sort with the measurement specimen in which the moisture content is known and measures a change of the amplitude by irradiating the identical receiving waves to the specimen of an identical sort in the state of being absolutely dried. The amplitude difference value are multiplied by a proportional constant known in advance using a relation of the moisture content and amplitude change of the reference specimen so that the moisture content of the measurement specimen is measured.
