PURPOSE: A coast stop vehicle and control method thereof are provided to increasing a time to start an engine if only the jetting fuels is started with controlling an engine rotation speed based on first deceleration of friction coupling parts. CONSTITUTION: A coast stop vehicle comprises a friction coupling part(2), a first deceleration calculation unit(12), and a coupling state control unit. The friction coupling part is installed between an engine(1) and a drive wheel(7). The first deceleration calculation unit outputs first deceleration that is rotational deceleration of a rotary shaft of the drive wheel of the friction coupling part. The coupling state control unit controls a fastening state of the friction coupling part based on the first deceleration to prevent a decrease of an engine rotation speed while operating a coast stop control.
