Summary:PURPOSE: A method for controlling a power converter is provided to optimize an operation and a control of a wind power turbine generator. CONSTITUTION: A hysteresis block(302) authorizes a chopper operation. Various operation conditions(304) of a chopper(201) are activated according to a DC bus voltage level. The chopper is operated or stopped according to the operation condition. A chopper operation stop is authorized by using the hysteresis block. An operation of the chopper is determined according to a level of a current applied to the DC bus.
