Summary:PURPOSE: An apparatus for driving a light emitting device, a driving circuit, and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent the deterioration of a product due to power consumption of an LED driving IC by driving an LED short channel with a small current instead of a rated current. CONSTITUTION: A voltage converting unit(200) outputs a driving voltage by converting a voltage level. A sub light emitting unit is connected to an output terminal of the voltage converting unit and includes two or more light emitting devices which are serially connected. A light emitting unit(210) emits light by a driving voltage. A driving unit(220) controls a driving current value of the light emitting unit.
