Summary:PURPOSE: A steel plate shear wall system for supporting the gravity of a column is provided to support tensile force applied to a steel plate by attaching support plates on both surfaces of a steel plate shear wall at a right angle to each other. CONSTITUTION: A steel plate shear wall system for supporting the gravity of a column is composed as follows. The top and bottom surfaces of a steel plate shear wall(100) are vertically welded to beams(20). Spaces(S) are formed by separating both surfaces of the steel plate shear wall from columns(10). Support plates are vertically welded to both ends of the steel plate shear wall. The top and bottom surfaces of the support plates are vertically welded to the beams.
