Summary:PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus of transmitting a downlink control signal in a wireless communication system are provided to calculate exactly a channel gain by cooperatively transmitting a preamble and a midamble. CONSTITUTION: A transmitter generates a preamble symbol based on pilot patterns of some transmission antennas from the pilot patterns of a plurality of transmission antennas(S100). The transmitter generates a midamble symbol based on the pilot pattern, which is not generated into the preamble symbol, from the pilot patterns of the plurality of antennas(S101). The transmitter constitutes a frame including a generated preamble symbol and a midamble symbol(S110). The transmitter performs IFFT(Inverse Fast Fourier Transform) for the preamble symbol and the midamble symbol included in the frame by each transmission antenna.
