PURPOSE: An apparatus for reducing coil break of a hot-rolled coil is provided to prevent a hot-rolled coil rolled at high temperatures by supplying refrigerant into a coil supporting portion to cool the surrounding of a hollow portion. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for reducing coil break of a hot-rolled coil comprises a coil supporting part(20), a coil cooling part, a refrigerant tank(50), a feed motor, a cooling control part, and a connection part(40). The coil supporting part is inserted in a hollow portion(12) of a hot-rolled coil. The coil cooling part supplies refrigerant into the coil supporting part in order to cool the hot-rolled coil(10). The refrigerant tank stores refrigerant to be supplied to the coil cooling part. The feed motor supplies the refrigerant of the refrigerant tank to the coil cooling part. The cooling control part controls the feed motor. The connection part is extended to the upper side of the refrigerant tank and connected to the coil support installed in a horizontal direction.
