CONSTITUTION: A method for patterning a polymer layer(22) on a support(4) comprises: a step of laminating layer(16) consisting of lithium based polymerization inhibitor on a first region(18a,18b) of the support; a step of laminating cationically polymerizable material(20) on the second region(18c) of the support and a polymerization inhibitor layer; a step of forming the polymer layer in the second region and a sacrifice layer(20) which is not solidified in the first region by polymerizing the cationically polymerizable material; and a step of removing the sacrifice layer.
