Summary:PURPOSE: A substrate for loading a semiconductor light emitting device, and a semiconductor light emitting apparatus using the same are provided to secure high reflectivity by forming an aluminum reflection layer on the surface of a base material. CONSTITUTION: A substrate for loading a semiconductor light emitting device comprises a base material(2) consisting of a metallic part, and an aluminum reflection layer(4). The thickness of the aluminum reflection layer is 0.02μm-5μm. A metal layer(11) is installed between the base material and the aluminum reflection layer. The metal layer contains titanium. A nickel layer and a palladium layer are successively installed between the base material and the aluminum reflection layer from the base material side. A gold flash coating layer is installed between the palladium layer and the aluminum reflection layer.
