PURPOSE: A system and method for a current restricting a DC-DC converter are provided to offer a control scheme capable of restricting a peak current within the DC-DC converter which does not offer a current ripple condition. CONSTITUTION: A source/drain route of a switching transistor(103) is connected between an input voltage node(102) and a node(104). A slope compensation signal(120) is used in order to eliminate fractional harmonic oscillation. A summing circuit(118) mixes the slope compensation signal, a buck mode mode-off set signal(122), and a detected current signal. A register divider(128) comprises a first register(129) connected between an output voltage node(110) and a node(131). A register(133) is connected between the node and ground.
